“Colette Carr’s brand of Malibu-flavored “hip-pop” blends early Eminem with classic Cindi Lauper. The video for her latest single, “No I.D.” with label mate and frequent collaborator Frankmusik, is a throwback to the 1978 film Grease-meets a mutant glee. Colette recently hit no. 1 on Billboard’s Uncharted Chart and topped MTV.com’s playlist with her video “Back It Up.”
